A blessing in disguise
I am not sure whether you agree with the title but tag along, anything to keep us busy during this period, right? . The media is filling us with: what to eat, how to wash your hands, deaths and recovered patients. With a few who remind us of how to maintain our mental health during this period. I personally want to shade light on the positive side the pandemic has brought out.
The family spirit has been rekindled, when was the last time we ever had a meal together as a family, or wen was the last time we actually called relatives from abroad, not for favors or presents but just to  check up on them? I bet you cant remember.
Sense of humanity restored all of a sudden we now remember the poor maybe not because we care but with, "If it hits kibera we are finished" while some people requesting for a lockdown not considering the less fortunate  whose houses are the streets!
Houses have been built, in literal meaning in South Africa they have. For the homeless dont get me wrong we all have beds furniture , large kitchen and high quality sound systems but  why is it hard to stay at home for some of us?It's all about the aura, we are all usually too busy and tired to have family time :the laughter, the games  and bonding time, paying attention to each other. Am sure that has changed!
All of a sudden we all have new skills and talents we never knew existed. For instance i had a blog since last year May and this is my second post.!
It all started in China with all the theories behind it whether it was the bats or a vaccine test whatever it was but its now all our business. The swahilis say"samaki mmoja akioza, na mtungo pia"which  simply means an oil drop in the ocean could kill all the fish irregardless of size.
What am trying to say here is that by the time all this is over.,whatever we are lets be the best at it.:wife, daughter, husband, son,
   Stay safe stay at home
